As part of the response to Storm Kristin, SIBS is supporting the collection of donations for the victims of this natural disaster through Ser Solidário on MB WAY. 

The initiative allows MB WAY users to help the affected population by donating to various charitable organizations that are currently on the ground providing assistance.

How to Donate:

• Via MB WAY app: Simply select the “Ser Solidário” option, choose the institution you wish to donate to, enter the amount, and the money will be transferred immediately and securely to the institution’s account.
  • Via phone number: Select the “Send Money” option, choose the phone number of the institution you want to support, and enter the donation amount.
  • Via QR Code: Scan the QR code with MB WAY and enter the amount you wish to donate.

Additionally, in February, SIBS is dedicating its Voto Solidário initiative to the victims of the storms. During this month, users can donate to one of the six highlighted causes – ACAPO, ADRA, Associação um Pequeno Gesto, Cáritas Diocesana de Leiria, Cruz Vermelha Portuguesa, and SOS Animal. For each donation (1€ minimum), the chosen association receives one vote. At the end of the month, SIBS will make an additional contribution of €1,500 to the most voted cause and €500 to the second most voted cause.

To promote support for the population affected by the storms, SIBS also had the help of several public figures who have been using their platforms to encourage people to donate through Ser Solidário.
